WEST POINT, N.Y. - The final Star will be decided this weekend as Navy travels to Army for a pair of doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday.
This is the final Star matchup of the 2016-17 Star Series presented by USAA. Last Saturday, Navy clinched the overall title and improved to 13-9 in contests with a Star on the line.
Game one on Saturday will be featured on the NCAA Baseball page on Facebook as the Patriot League Network broadcast will be simulcast to allow additional fans to watch the game and interact.

The Mids (30-12, 10-2 PL) have already clinched a spot in the Patriot League postseason, but will be looking to secure home-field advantage as well as win the 2017 Star. The Mids are currently riding a 12-game winning streak, including back-to-back four-game series sweeps of Patriot League foes Lafayette and Lehigh. Seven of those 12 outings were played on their home field. Most recently, Navy defeated George Mason, 11-2, to hand the Mids 30 wins on the season.

The Black Knights (19-21, 7-5 PL) are currently sitting in fourth place in the Patriot League. The Black Knights recently dropped 3-of-4 to Holy Cross last weekend, but rebounded with back-to-back victories over Albany and NYIT earlier this week.
Jon Rosoff led the team throughout the six games batting .421 with eight hits, four RBI and five runs. Josh White, John McCarthy and Alex Dickerson each chipped in six hits, with Dickerson launching his second career grand slam in Sunday's doubleheader opener against the Crusaders.
Saturday's doubleheader begins at 1 p.m. at Doubleday Field, while Sunday's twinbill is set for a 12 p.m. first pitch. Game one on both days will be seven regulation innings, while game twos are set for nine.Should the series end deadlocked at 2-2, the tiebreaker stipulation calls for the annual Star to go to the team that was victorious in Saturday's game one.
