Black Knights Host Navy in Men's Track and Field

West Point, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's track and field team is hosting Navy Saturday as they battle for the star as part of the Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA.

The dual meet at Gillis Field House will start with the field events at 10 a.m., and the track events will get underway at 12 p.m.

Last weekend, the Cadets split going to the Villanova Open and the Penn State National Invitational. The Villanova Open was highlighted by Kenneth Brinson who placed fourth in the weight throw setting a season high distance of 18.13 meters. At the Penn State National Invitational the Black Knights brought home hardware while setting, personal, team, and league bests.

Firstie Jose Santana was a standout in the 200 meter dash, finishing third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.22 seconds. Plebe Keagan Smith was first in the mile run (4:12.46) and classmate Roman Ollar was third (4:14.50), while firstie captain Trevor Touchton set a season best (2:25.20) competing in the 1000-meter run.
