WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point men's and women's swimming and diving team returns to Crandall Pool with a home Star Meet against Navy on Saturday at 12 p.m. The diving portion of the meet will begin at 10:30 a.m.
MEN'S NOTES
COACHES CORNER
"We've got to do the things that we can control really well," said head coach Mickey Wender. "It's a process and the team understands what their jobs are. The team is strong and I think we have as good a chance as we've had in the last 26 years to beat Navy."
"I think we match up really well because our team understands their roles and what they need to do. We need to keep it simple and do our jobs. It'll be an incredible atmosphere and it's a wonderful thing to be apart of."

The Black Knights are coming off of a first-place finish at the Terrier Invite hosted by Boston University, where they recorded 1,137 points.
Tom Ottman set a pool record in his first place finish in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 15:22.66. Ottman bested the next closest finisher by over 17 seconds en route to victory. Johnny Ellery took home the top spot in the 200 butterfly with a mark of 1:48.70, while Peter Mikheyev finished just behind him in 1:48.81.
2015 ARMY NOTES VERSUS NAVY
The Black Knights set several academy and plebe records against Navy in 2015. Ottman eclipsed the Academy record in the 1,000 freestyle by six seconds. He touched the wall in 9:12.02 to set a new academy and plebe standard.
Devin McCall was Army's top finisher in the 200 freestyle. He finished third with a time of 1:38.69. In the 100 backstroke, Josh Sembrano placed second after clocking 48.56 seconds to top his own Academy record.
Joe Daniels placed third in the 100 breastroke with an NCAA B-Cut time of 55.26 seconds. In the 200 butterfly, Sean Regan touched the wall in an Academy record, also an NCAA B-Cut time of 1:46.67, besting the record he previously set. Regan was followed by Jay Yang who was fifth with a time of 1:49.24.
WOMEN'S NOTES

Josephine Marsh topped the podium in the 200 backstroke with a mark of 1:59.78, nearly four seconds faster than the next finisher.
Additionally, Monica Sowinski finished second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.07.
2015 ARMY NOTES VERSUS NAVY
Army posted several academy and plebe records against the Mids. The Black Knights were third in the 200-medley relay. The team of Cecelia Croman, Jess Fabrizio, Molly Mucciaroneand Kelly Hamilton touched the wall in 1:42.14 to tie the current Academy record.
Sabrina Mortell kicked off the individual events by setting a new standard in the 1,000 freestyle. She touched the wall in 10:00.09, which bested the previous Academy record by 12 seconds. Meaghan McGovern placed fifth to set a plebe record with a time of 10:07.66.
Sowinski earned an Academy and plebe record mark in the 200 freestyle. She placed fifth after clocking a time of 1:49.99. Hamilton won the 100 backstroke with an Academy record time of 54.41 seconds, also an NCAA B-Cut time, while Bailey Smith was third in 55.59 seconds, besting Hamilton's plebe record.
